Dealing with Your Credit Report after Bankruptcy

Clients often ask me if it worthwhile to hire companies that “repair” their credit.  The answer is no.
In reality most items on a credit report (even bankruptcy) do not have a material impact on your credit if they have taken place over two years ago.

The Federal Trade Commission states that it is in fact illegal to remove accurate information from your credit report.
