Prior to becoming an attorney, Fred worked for national and Toledo CPA firms in the tax, auditing and regulated industries areas. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Ohio with a currently inactive license.
In 1979, Fred was hired as Chief Financial Officer of a corporation operating in bankruptcy reorganization (International Automated Machines, Inc.). The company successfully emerged from bankruptcy and was acquired by a Fortune 500 corporation in 1989. He served as the divisional Vice President of Finance and Administration for that entity.
Fred later became Vice President of Finance and Administration for an institutional pharmaceutical company in Perrysburg, Ohio that is now part of publicly held Omnicare, Inc.
Fred then attended law school at the University of Toledo where he graduated as class valedictorian and received the Dean’s Award in 1993 as the outstanding graduate.
